What If I miss a Dose?

As soon as you relaize that you forgot to take your medicine, you can take your dose. If it is almost time for your next dose, you should wait until that time to take your dose, and do not take two doses or make up for it. If you forget to take your dose of Prozac Weekly, you should take the dose as soon as you remember. You can take the next dose in 7 days. Do not take extra medicine.

What Drugs Should I Avoid?

If you are taking any medicine with Prozac you should tell your doctor, especially if you are taking medicine for arthritis, pain, fever and swelling. Tell your doctor if you are taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), or ibuprofen. These medicines may cause you to bleed or bruise easily.  If you take medicines that makes you drowsy such as cold or allergy medicine, sleeping pills, narcotic pain medicine, muscle relaxers, and medicines for seizures and anxiety, tell your doctor.

In addition, you should tell him if you take Xanax, Clozaril, Tambocor, Haldol, L-tryptophan, Velban, Coumadin,  Axert, Frova, Imitrex, Amerge, Maxalt, Zomigany and other antidepressants like Elavil, Lexapro, Tofranil, Zoloft and others. These are some of the medicines that you should watch out for, but you should tell your doctor about any medicine that you are taking including prescription and over-the-counter pills you use. This includes vitamins, minerals and herbal products.
